Chapter 83: A Bold Acquisition
She looked at Ji Chuan, her tone cold, “It’s fine if you don’t want to discipline Ji Chuan, but letting him out to harm other children is simply wrong. After all, our Xuanxuan has always been well-mannered at home, never takes things from other kids, and is very polite. Meeting a child like yours makes it all too easy for her to pick up bad habits.”
Bai Xuexue scoffed, lips icy, “Your Xuanxuan is well brought up? If she’s so well educated, would she speak to others like that?”
Jiang Sui did not let Bai Xuexue’s words sway her, instead responding coolly, “Whether my Xuanxuan is well educated or not, it’s not an excuse for you or your son to cut in line.”

She wanted to call the manager over, only to see the manager—who had just been approaching—suddenly turn and flee…
Jiang Sui smiled, “How about this, bring your boss here. Ask him for me: how much would it cost to acquire your store?”

Bai Xuexue sneered, “What’s the point of pretending to have dignity?”

At that moment, a male manager stepped out.
He nodded at both Jiang Sui and Bai Xuexue.
The sales clerk immediately said, “This is our store manager.”
Jiang Sui reached into her pocket and pulled out a check, signed her name, then wrote down a string of numbers. “This amount—what do you think about selling your store to me?”
The manager, after a brief moment of astonishment, saw the check and his face broke into a delighted smile, as if welcoming a goddess of fortune. “Miss Jiang, please, let’s discuss this over here!”
And so, before everyone’s eyes, Jiang Sui acquired the store outright at a steep price!
Bai Xuexue couldn’t even cut in, her face burning as if slapped, stinging with humiliation.
But when she saw the number, she knew it wasn’t something she could casually produce.
Even if she could, she’d have to ask Ji Sicen for help.
“Ah Cen, I want to buy a toy store for Xiao Chuan. Could you transfer twenty million to me?” She called Ji Sicen, trying to reach him.
Ji Sicen’s voice carried a hint of displeasure, “Twenty million? Darling, what kind of toy store needs twenty million to buy? Don’t let yourself get scammed. Leave this sort of business matter to me, we’ll talk when you get home.”
Bai Xuexue’s expression soured, angry and aggrieved, “I’m just asking for a little money, isn’t that allowed? If you don’t want to, forget it.”
She hung up right away.
By then, Jiang Sui had already finished her negotiations, and seeing how respectfully everyone treated Jiang Sui made Bai Xuexue even more uncomfortable, her hatred gnawing at her.
Why could Jiang Sui so easily produce such a sum, while she had to beg Ji Sicen for it?
The imbalance only deepened her anger and jealousy.
Ji Chuan tugged at Bai Xuexue’s sleeve, whispering, “Mommy, don’t be upset. I’ll help you win back your dignity. Whatever I want, I will get it.”
He fixed his gaze on Lu Xuanxuan sitting beside Jiang Sui. Even at his young age, Ji Chuan’s eyes flashed with a hint of fierceness, though beneath it lingered a trace of unwillingness.
