Hu Guozheng knew Du Bin’s temperament well, but he couldn’t help but worry for him. “Du Bin’s habit is to observe the enemy’s movements before thinking of a way to strike back. Unfortunately, this opponent is not only powerful but also quick, making it difficult to find an opportunity for a surprise counterattack.”

“I trust Du Bin,” Ye Tang said firmly.

The Hornet pressed closer with every step, forcing Du Bin to expend his stamina. The Hornet gloated, “I won’t give you any chance. I’ll just wear you down until you’re spent! Ha ha…”

Carelessly, Du Bin and his opponent’s fists grazed lightly, and as he stepped back, he lost his footing and nearly fell. The Hornet seized the opportunity, swung his fist at lightning speed, and by the time Du Bin reacted, he had already been struck several times in quick succession, the force driving him backward.

“How does it feel to take a few punches from me? Not bad, right?”

Du Bin steadied himself, touched his chest, and felt no pain, which struck him as odd, though he said, “Nothing at all. Child’s play…”

Suddenly, a burning tightness surged in his chest, and he involuntarily spat out a mouthful of blood. Weakness flooded his body, and he half-knelt, bewildered, realizing there was something wrong with those punches. He unbuttoned his shirt to check, and sure enough, several dark bruises marked his chest.

“Poison,” Hu Guozheng exclaimed in shock. “No way! The Hornet truly lives up to his name—he uses poison!”

“Feeling uncomfortable, aren’t you?” The dizziness hit Du Bin hard. “This is bad. I overlooked the Hornet’s venom.”

The Hornet advanced, his smile sinister. “Now you’re dead for sure. You’ve been struck by the venom of the Hornet King—let’s see how long you can last.”

Clutching his stifling chest, Du Bin knew he couldn’t collapse now. He forced himself to his feet, keeping his distance from his opponent. The Hornet, brimming with confidence, continued, “Few survive my poison. The more you move, the faster the toxin reaches your heart. Ha ha ha…”

“Du Bin!” Ye Tang panicked, the sense of foreboding she had felt all along now realized—he was in grave danger.

“It appears the Hornet has successfully subdued Du Bin with his venom and shows no intention of letting up. Du Bin is now in a very perilous position,” the commentator announced.

The tide turning in favor of the Field Team delighted Panther, who smiled faintly. “Even if the Hornet’s venom is smeared on any clothing, it seeps into the skin and then into the body. It’s only a matter of time before the victim succumbs. The Hornet still finds time to toy with him.”

Closing in, the Hornet unleashed a barrage of blows to Du Bin’s limbs, sending more venom into his system. Du Bin’s body was beyond his control—he was helpless against the poison’s invasion.

“Impressed by my Hornet King’s sting?”

“Du Bin, jump off the ring!” Hu Guozheng shouted.

The Hornet addressed Hu Guozheng, “Impossible. He can’t move anymore. The venom is rampaging through his body. All he can do is wait for death. Ha ha ha…”

“The bastard…” Hu Guozheng was furious, nearly climbing onto the stage himself.

The Hornet laughed triumphantly, bouncing around Du Bin so quickly he was a blur. “Why aren’t you struggling? Have you reached your limit?”

Commentator Wan Jin narrated the scene, “Now that Du Bin is paralyzed by the Hornet’s poison, the situation is dire. Has he decided to give up?”

Ye Tang sensed Du Bin was up to something, but she couldn’t help but worry.

“Du Bin, run! You’ll die!” she cried out.

Meanwhile, in the VIP box, Wu Qiwei watched the match. Two men entered—both wore military uniforms and half-masks. The first was a muscular man with short hair; the second, a thin man with striking red eyes. They exuded a chilling aura.

“You’re finally here, Grizzly, Shadow.”

“I hear the team you’ve taken an interest in is quite strong, especially their female leader. I’m curious to see how formidable she is,” said the short-haired Grizzly, his physique powerful and proud.

“They’re competing down there. Take your time and enjoy the show,” Wu Qiwei replied.

The man with red eyes, Shadow, snorted, “I’ve seen enough. They’re just a bunch of rookies.”

At that moment, the Hornet, bored with his game, decided it was time to inject a deadlier poison and finish Du Bin off. He lunged forward, fist poised. “Watching you suffer pains me, so let me end it for you. Take my Hornet King’s sting!”

As the Hornet charged, Du Bin seized the moment. He had been storing energy all along, waiting for an opening. Now, as his opponent lowered his guard and attacked, Du Bin released his accumulated power in an instant.

A surge of lightning burst from his body. The Hornet was struck, his entire body numbed, but he scoffed at the mild paralysis. “A cheap trick.”

“Is that so?” Du Bin smiled slyly, his trap set. Suddenly, he mustered all his strength for a second, more powerful attack. “Thunderstorm!”

Another wave of electricity erupted, this time crackling with countless small bolts. As they struck the Hornet, his heart spasmed violently, his pupils dilated, and he collapsed, convulsing on the ground.

The audience was stunned into silence. Wan Jin was the first to recover. “Incredible! What a dramatic reversal! Even while poisoned, Du Bin managed to unleash a special power and caught the Hornet off guard!”

The Hornet stared in disbelief, struggling to breathe. “How…? I paralyzed your limbs. How did you use your power?”

“Sorry, my ability channels through my entire body, not just my hands. You’re a veteran—you shouldn’t forget such basic lessons, even when facing a rookie.”

Hu Guozheng whistled, nearly leaping with excitement. “Well done, Du Bin!”

“I was too careless. I can’t believe I was tricked by a rookie. If I’d been more cautious, you’d never have succeeded with that little stunt.”

“I suggest you stop talking,” Du Bin replied, coughing up more blood. “The match is over. Give me the antidote and focus on forcing the current out of your body. Otherwise, you’ll soon die of cardiac arrest. It would be a shame to lose someone with your talent—don’t gamble with your life.”

Du Bin’s strength was fading fast. He knew he had to get the antidote before the poison claimed him.

“Ha ha ha… Even if I die, you’re not getting the antidote. Let’s take a trip to hell together!” the Hornet snarled. Suddenly, pain wracked his body, and he convulsed violently before falling still. As Xiaoxue counted down, she hurried over to check, then stood up and declared Du Bin of the Hunting Team the winner.

“This is infuriating! If this continues, my entire plan will be thrown into chaos. Hmph!” Sulayman’s face turned red with fury at the Hornet’s defeat. He stomped off toward the conference room, while Zeng Yilong simply smiled.
