Chapter 12: Cultivation Technique? I'll Buy It!

Qin Yueyan gently patted Huhu’s head to comfort her. “It’s okay. We’ve only been at it for a few days, and we’ve already reached Level Three. It’s just the beginning; it will only get better from here.”

Huhu’s eyes widened. “Eh? Did I say it out loud again?”

“Hehe, yes,” Qin Yueyan smiled.

But soon, Qin Yueyan's smile faded. “The original price is one million points. Even with a newbie discount of 90% off, it still costs 100,000 points.”

“The store manager’s shop is already cheap—that’s a special discount for managers, plus it recommends the most suitable cultivation methods,” Huhu explained, pointing to the glowing screen before her. “Look, and it only has cultivation methods here; the complete spell compendium is directly in the main store.”

Huhu switched the interface. Qin Yueyan’s breath caught, her voice trembling and eyes vacant. “The basics... all start at a million points.”

“Exactly. So, if you want something, you have to make the most of this month and grab it at 90% off.” Huhu switched back to the store manager’s shop page. “If you put these cultivation methods over there, the price would be in the billions.”

Qin Yueyan’s pupils trembled. “I! Go!”

With that, the twelve thousand points they had just earned instantly shrank by one hundred thousand.

After the purchase, Qin Yueyan came back to herself. “Can’t points just be used to add skill levels directly?”

“That’s true, but cultivation can also increase points. Once your cultivation is sufficient, it automatically levels up. The two complement each other.”

“Hmm... early on, it’s better to exchange for points; it’s more cost-effective. For the first 1 to 5 points, it costs 100 points per level; 6 to 10 costs 1,000 points each; 11 to 20 costs 10,000 points per point; and for 96 to 100, it’s 5 billion points per point.”

Qin Yueyan’s vision darkened. “...Fifty billion?”

Even if she were sold off, she still couldn't afford it!

However, the first ten points were indeed worth it, so she spent 20,000 points to raise her points to ten.

A strange warm current flowed through her body, finally settling below her abdomen.

The most immediate change was that her nearsightedness completely vanished, and she could see farther than normal.

Her hearing sharpened, her sense of smell became keen, and she could even sense a kind of energy in the air—Qin Yueyan guessed it must be spiritual energy.

She pulled up her panel, and sure enough, her information had changed. In the basic info, her maximum life had increased.

“How much cultivation do I have now?” Qin Yueyan asked.

“Though we talk in years of cultivation, to put it simply, it’s equivalent to Foundation Establishment, perfected.” Huhu added, “Ten mana points equal a hundred years of cultivation, and your lifespan increases by a hundred years on top of your original lifespan.”

“Wow, I’m truly going to live a long, long life,” Qin Yueyan said with a smile, though she added, “Though I only have a little over four thousand points left now.”

Still, she thought it was worth it—she could earn it back later.

“Are you going to start the farm now, Yueyan?” Huhu tilted her head.

Qin Yueyan stroked her chin. “I want to check out the cultivation methods I just bought first.”

She opened her bag, where the newly purchased “Supreme Cultivation Method” lay quietly.

Qin Yueyan clicked on the description: The “Supreme Cultivation Method” includes five chapters: Supreme Mind Method, Supreme Sword Technique, Supreme Healing Method, Supreme Spirit Refining Technique, and Supreme Body Refining Technique.

“Oh, this is pretty comprehensive—not a waste at all!” She immediately clicked to learn it. A beam of light shot straight into her mind.

Huhu’s eyes widened. “!!!”

Huhu silently screamed: Yueyan! Don’t you need to find a quiet place to practice cultivation methods?

Just as Qin Yueyan was about to collapse, Huhu caught her and immediately teleported them back to the room.

With a soft thud, Qin Yueyan fell onto the bed.

Huhu struggled to free itself from beneath her: “Phew, almost got crushed. Luckily, the bed is soft.”

Qin Yueyan was unaware of anything outside. At this moment, she was undergoing the baptism of the cultivation method.

In this unknown space, utter darkness surrounded her as she stood in the center.

Suddenly, rows of glowing characters spun around her, forming a circle before rushing towards her.

Qin Yueyan instinctively closed her eyes. A vague guidance led her to sit cross-legged.

Gradually, she immersed herself in the “Supreme Cultivation Method.”

After a day and a night, Qin Yueyan opened her eyes and instinctively unleashed a spiritual energy attack.

“Bang!” The energy hit the floor-to-ceiling window, which rippled faintly before calming.

She realized and sighed in relief, “Good thing it didn’t break.”

There must be some kind of protective barrier—she thought.

Since she already had cultivation, the purpose of the mind method was to help her better understand and wield mana and spirit energy.

Indeed, mana points also include spirit energy.

Besides increasing lifespan, life points also enhanced her physical strength—this was a realization she came to.

“Too bad...” Qin Yueyan rested her chin in her palm. “There are no spells yet. I haven’t learned the Supreme Sword Technique either. Right now, I only know how to shoot spirit energy blasts—nothing else.”

As for the other four chapters, she only glanced over them and hadn’t studied them seriously yet.

“Yueyan! You’re awake!” A voice of surprise came, followed by a white projectile crashing into her arms.

“Hmm! I guess it was a fruitful experience,” Qin Yueyan’s head buzzed.

“It’s been a day and a night. Luckily, no one came looking for you,” Huhu said with relief.

“!”

Qin Yueyan stared blankly and exclaimed, “What?! A whole day and night?! I thought it was only a few hours!”

“As your cultivation level rises, each secluded session lasts longer, Yueyan,” Huhu gently patted her head.

“Well...” Qin Yueyan soon stopped dwelling on it and asked, “Any new customers?”

“None.”

“Well...” Qin Yueyan sniffed and suddenly asked, “What’s that smell?”

“That’s probably the odor from the dirt you expelled. I already used a cleansing talisman on you once,” Huhu said, sitting with crossed legs.

It tilted its head and wagged its tail. “I had my sense of smell blocked before coming in, so I didn’t notice.”

“Yuck~” Qin Yueyan couldn’t help but gag. “It was fine before I noticed it, but now that I have, the smell just bursts out!”

She hurriedly grabbed some clothes and dashed into the bathroom for a wash.

After several rounds of shower gel and shampoo, Qin Yueyan finally felt comfortable and the smell was gone.

Wiping her hair, she walked to the mirror: her skin was now delicate and fair, her cheeks rosy and radiant, and her yellow hair had turned jet black and glossy.

Moreover! She seemed to have grown taller! No, she had definitely grown taller.

She just didn’t know by how much.

Qin Yueyan stared at her reflection with wide eyes. “Huhu, can you measure my height? Can you help me check?”
