Harvey had no idea that the patrons inside the Bounty Hunter Bar were preoccupied with so many unnecessary worries.

Thanks to the universal translator, communication was finally no longer a barrier for him. After leaving the bar, Harvey quickly inquired about the most renowned hotel on Xandar and learned it was called The Elite.

When Harvey arrived outside The Elite, he looked up and saw a hotel towering at least seventy stories high. He strode inside.

The lobby was filled with several beautiful women, either seated or standing. Harvey’s arrival, shrouded in a mysterious and dignified aura, immediately drew their attention.

Before any of them could make a move, the closest—a young woman with a pure and attractive appearance—approached Harvey.

“Sir, are you here to find someone?” she asked politely.

“No, I’m here to check in,” Harvey replied, shaking his head slightly.

“Which room did you reserve, sir?” she asked immediately upon hearing his intention.

“I’m here to stay, but I haven’t made a reservation,” Harvey answered.

“Sir, according to our hotel policy, guests must make reservations in advance to check in. I’m sorry if this disrupts your plans, but I must ask that you make a reservation and return later,” the young woman said, bowing slightly with respect.

“Is it not possible to check in directly without a reservation?” Harvey asked with a slight frown at this unexpected restriction.

“I apologize if I’ve offended you,” she responded. “However, without a reservation, you would need to pay a month’s room fee—three hundred thousand credits—in advance to check in. You seem to be new here, perhaps a tourist, and probably won’t stay long on Xandar. If you wish to experience The Elite, I’d suggest making a reservation instead, so you only pay for the days you stay and avoid unnecessary expenses.”

Hearing the hint of displeasure in his voice, she apologized again and explained the reasoning.

“Then I’ll stay for a month,” Harvey replied, his mood considerably eased after understanding the situation.

“Very well, please come with me for registration and payment,” said the woman, her professional smile returning when she realized Harvey insisted on staying.

Harvey followed her through the lavishly decorated lobby to the reception. She tapped the counter and a projection screen appeared.

“Please fill in your information and make your payment, sir. Then I will escort you to your room,” she said courteously, stepping aside.

Harvey quietly filled in his name and made the payment.

“Honored Mr. Kassadin, your room is 7777. Please follow me and I’ll show you the way,” the woman said with a smile after confirming his payment.

Harvey nodded and followed.

“Mr. Kassadin, my name is Sonia. Please forgive my earlier discourtesy. Allow me to introduce you to The Elite. All your meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are included, with different dishes every day, and a special selection of afternoon snacks as well. Every month, a grand ball is held, where you might meet someone who stirs your heart or make friends with similar interests. Do you prefer to dine in your room or in the gourmet area?” Sonia asked as she led Harvey into the elevator, entering the code for the seventy-seventh floor.

“I prefer to eat in my room. Bring me dinner for two hundred people, right away,” Harvey replied. He wasn’t surprised by the all-inclusive service; it was exactly why he chose this hotel after asking around. With his appetite, he’d easily spend more than three hundred thousand credits just on food in a month. Exploring Xandar for different cuisines would be a hassle, but this hotel’s changing daily menu, guaranteed quality, and all-inclusive policy made it irresistible.

However, his request for food for two hundred people left Sonia flustered. She almost regretted approaching him, but since she had already taken charge, she had to see it through.

“Sir, if you order excessive amounts and fail to finish your meals more than three times, our hotel will have to charge you extra fees,” Sonia warned with a forced smile.

Her concern was understandable. If Mr. Kassadin repeatedly ordered vast quantities and wasted food, and then refused to pay the penalty, the cost would come out of her salary.

“That’s not your concern. If I break the rules, I’ll pay. And not just tonight—any time in the coming month, if I ask for food, just relay my instructions and ensure I have enough,” Harvey said, glancing at Sonia’s strained smile.

“Thank you, sir. With your assurance, I’m relieved,” Sonia replied, surprised but reassured by his promise.

Harvey ascended to the seventy-seventh floor in the elevator—a sky villa encased in a special glass shell.

“Mr. Kassadin, you have exclusive use of this villa for the next month. There is, however, one absolute rule and a reminder. The rule: you may not sublet this villa for profit. If the hotel discovers such activity, your entire payment will be confiscated and you will be evicted. The reminder: if you damage any part of the villa, you must pay for repairs or replacement. Otherwise, you’re free to bring whomever you wish. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you need anything, simply have the AI call me. No matter the time, I’ll answer immediately and come to assist you,” Sonia explained as they reached the floor.

“Understood. Go ahead and prepare the food,” Harvey replied coolly.

“Certainly, sir. Please wait a moment; your meal will be delivered shortly,” Sonia said with a small bow and took her leave, unfazed by his brevity.

Harvey walked forward, taking in his surroundings. Despite being on the seventy-seventh floor, he felt only a gentle, comfortable breeze instead of the fierce winds one might expect.

The sky villa was outfitted with fully intelligent furnishings, a land-based swimming pool, a bar, exquisite artworks, luxurious furniture, and every imaginable entertainment facility. Outside was a transparent crystalline bridge leading to a sky garden, where one could sit and gaze at the starry sky within arm’s reach or overlook the city’s dazzling lights.

If one were to bring a lady here, winning her heart would be a simple matter indeed.
