Ding—
Meanwhile, Li Haowen quickly edited a long message and sent it over.
It was that time when the two of us won seven first prizes. The prizes were stuffed toys.
When we were leaving, you said you had run into an acquaintance and went over to greet her. Since it looked rather strange for two grown men to be carrying a pile of dolls, you casually gave three of them to her.
Fang Mo suddenly understood. He hurriedly sent back a message:
Were the prize dolls Minions?
Li Haowen replied:
Yeah. I tossed the ones I brought home onto the sofa, and they’re still there.
“Could Sister Yuelan’s profile picture be those three Minions I gave her back then?”
Fang Mo’s expression instantly grew peculiar.
That dart-throwing event had taken place two or three years ago.
Even Fang Mo’s own memories of it had gradually blurred.
At the time, he had considered his chance encounter with Ning Yuelan nothing more than a trivial matter. He had barely given it a thought.
Could the Minions in Sister Yuelan’s room really be the three he had given her back then?
Had she even made them into her profile picture?
Was she trying to hint at something?
Just then, Butler Xiaojie’s voice came from the doorway.
“Young Master Fang, what are you looking for?”
The sound behind him startled Fang Mo.
Young Master Fang?
Was she talking to me?
Then, after thinking it over, he felt somewhat relieved.
Ning Yuelan was the eldest daughter of the Ning family. In the butler’s eyes, that naturally made him the young master.
“Ahem. I’m helping Sister Yuelan look for the medicine kit. Her shoulder was scratched, and it wouldn’t look good to wear a wedding dress with a scar showing.”
A scar?
The butler gave Fang Mo a puzzled once-over. Then her face suddenly flushed crimson, and she glanced toward the bed.
“I understand. Young Master and Miss certainly have plenty of energy. Young Master only moved in yesterday, and you’ve already started sleeping together.”
“With the two of you working so hard, Old Master Ning will surely be delighted once he finds out. Perhaps he’ll even be able to hold a great-grandchild this year.”
What?
Had she misunderstood something?
Fang Mo was just about to explain when Xiaojie had already gone out to fetch the medicine kit.
“Young Master, when I came over this morning to tidy Miss’s room, I noticed the medicine kit was in the bedroom, so I thought I might as well bring it out.”
With that, Xiaojie found the medicine kit and handed it to Fang Mo.
At the same time, Ning Yuelan’s voice rang out from the bathroom, where water was cascading in the shower.
“Little Brother, help me find a bath towel.”
Pfft—
Fang Mo’s face turned crimson at once. Even Butler Xiaojie widened her eyes and covered her mouth in disbelief. She had never imagined that her young lady would be into this sort of thing.
“No wonder Miss got hurt. The bathroom floor is so slippery that simply standing upright is a skill in itself, let alone moving around in there.”
Xiaojie giggled.
“Young Master, Miss is calling you, so I’ll leave you two alone for now. But take it a little slower today. Don’t give Miss another injury.”
“Wearing a wedding dress is one of the happiest moments in a woman’s life. She’ll certainly want to greet that moment in the most beautiful condition possible. You wouldn’t want Miss to have any regrets, would you?”
With that, the young woman vanished into the villa like a streak of smoke.
Fang Mo stood there with a flushed face, opening and closing his mouth as he tried to think of something to say.
But the more he tried to explain, the worse it seemed to sound. It felt as though there was no room left for an explanation at all.
He could only pick up the bath towel and pass it through the gap in the bathroom door to Ning Yuelan.
At that moment, the vast villa held only the two of them.
The rushing water instantly stirred a restless heat within Fang Mo.
The image of droplets sliding down a woman’s fair skin before falling to the floor appeared in his mind, vivid and impossible to banish.
Especially if he opened the shower door—he would be able to see the graceful outline of her figure through the translucent glass.
“Damn it!”
“Lust is a blade hanging over the head. Fang Mo, keep yourself under control.”
Fang Mo drew two more deep breaths.
“Sis, I’ve put the bath towel on the sink. Anyway, I’m going out first.”
“Are you going to take a shower later?”
Ning Yuelan’s voice drifted through the thin mist created by the heat. The damp warmth had filled the entire shower room with a hazy veil.
Fang Mo touched his back and only then realized that, at some point, he had worked up a foul-smelling sweat. His clothes clung damply to his body, making him extremely uncomfortable.

Besides, his mind was now filled with countless indecent fantasies.
Fang Mo felt he needed to take a cold shower and calm himself down.
“Mm-hmm. I haven’t showered since the day we drank, so it’s been three days…”
Ning Yuelan smiled, her words deliberately teasing the young man’s nerves.
“Do you need Sis to scrub your back later? Or why don’t you just come in and shower with me? I can’t reach my back, and I can’t apply the body wash there by myself.”
Pfft—
Take a shower with Sister Yuelan?
Two streams of blood burst straight from Fang Mo’s nostrils, and large drops splattered onto the floor.
Don’t do this, Sis! If you keep teasing me like that, I’m going to overheat!
Fang Mo wore a mournful expression.
“Forget it. I’m not showering after all.”
With that, he fled the shower room.
“Why is the little fellow so shy? I’m only asking him to help apply some body wash.”
After saying this, Ning Yuelan herself burst into laughter.
…
Fang Mo rushed into the living room and frantically recited the Heart-Calming Formula.
That enchantress really was trying to devour him.
“Hmm? What’s this?”
Just then, Fang Mo suddenly noticed a plastic convenience-store bag sitting on the living-room table.
He remembered that there had been nothing there when he returned earlier.
Could Xiaojie, who had just left, have come back?
The next moment, Fang Mo noticed a note beside the plastic bag.
“Congratulations to Young Master and Miss on your happy life together. I think you’ll definitely find these useful. The business of making babies should wait until after you’re married and settled. In the meantime, enjoy your sweetness—but remember to stay safe too~”
It was signed by Xiaojie.
A bad feeling flashed through Fang Mo’s heart. He opened the plastic bag and found three or four brightly colored little boxes inside.
Ribbed. Ultra-thin. Hot-and-cold.
The selection practically covered every common style on the market.
“Fang Mo, what are you holding? Takeout?”
Just then, a fragrant breeze swept over him from behind.
It carried the clean, refreshing scent of a woman’s body mingled with body wash.
Fang Mo jumped. Ning Yuelan, quick as a flash, snatched the plastic bag from his hands with a beaming smile.
“Sister Yuelan, don’t misunderstand. This isn’t mine…”
He stopped halfway through the sentence.
Ning Yuelan had appeared with her long, wet hair hanging loose around her shoulders, looking like a lotus emerging from the water. She was simply too alluring. Compared with the radiant elegance she had displayed during the day, the weariness she had shed after bathing gave her a different kind of pure beauty.
Ning Yuelan also froze when she saw what was inside.
“Little Brother, aren’t you being a little too eager?”
What!?
Fang Mo had assumed Ning Yuelan would be angry. Although the past two days had been full of suggestive moments, everything had still remained within the normal boundaries of interaction between a man and a woman.
But when a man took out condoms, his intentions became self-evident. Any woman with even a little temper would probably be furious.
Afraid that Ning Yuelan would misunderstand him, Fang Mo said with an awkward smile, “Sister Yuelan, I swear I didn’t buy these.”
“I know. You had Xiaojie buy them.”
With great interest, Ning Yuelan took them out one by one. Without the slightest embarrassment, she examined the packaging and read the descriptions of their functions and instructions for use.
Fang Mo’s face grew even redder.
“No, it really wasn’t me…”
“If they aren’t yours, then whose are they? Mine?”
Ning Yuelan blinked her enchanting eyes.
Fang Mo’s Adam’s apple rolled involuntarily.
While he was still dazed, Ning Yuelan suddenly grinned and jabbed him in the stomach with her elbow.
“You naughty little brother. You won’t learn the good things, but you’re quick to pick up the bad ones. It seems Second Young Master Li has truly led you astray. It’s still too soon for this. Sis hasn’t prepared herself mentally, so I’ll confiscate these for now.”
As she spoke, Ning Yuelan carried the plastic bag toward the bedroom.
As she walked, she muttered under her breath:
“My grandfather is in such a hurry to hold a great-grandchild, but we won’t be needing these things at all…”
“Besides, I heard they’re rather uncomfortable to wear.”
Pfft—
Two more streams of blood gushed from Fang Mo’s nose.
For a moment, he felt that life in this overheated state was impossible.

…
By the time Fang Mo carried the medicine kit into the bedroom, Ning Yuelan had already changed into her pajamas.
Her pajamas were perhaps the only thing in the entire room that could be associated with a girlish heart, if only faintly.
They were pink.
Her long hair was tied high on her head, and she was reclining against the bed with a book in her hands.
She had not turned on the main bedroom light, using only the small lamp beside the bed.
Its gentle glow fell across her face, illuminating her bewitchingly beautiful features with a rosy radiance.
When Fang Mo entered, Ning Yuelan simply tugged down the shoulder of her pajamas, exposing her snow-white shoulder.
“Here. Apply the medicine.”
Her lowered eyes and inviting posture made her impossibly alluring.
This time, Ning Yuelan behaved much better while he applied the medicine.
Fang Mo had been nervous at first, but when he saw that she was not teasing him, he felt relieved—and, inexplicably, a little disappointed.
“All done, Sis.”
After finishing, Fang Mo waved his hand before her.
Only then did Ning Yuelan slowly return from her reverie.
It was not only Fang Mo who found her captivating beneath the hazy lamplight. From Ning Yuelan’s angle, the sight of the man carefully tending her wound, moving with such caution for fear of hurting her, was equally stirring.
So this was the little fellow I had loved for thirteen years.
Ning Yuelan’s heart stirred as she watched Fang Mo carry the medicine kit toward the door.
She quickly called after him.
“Wait. Lie down here and coax me to sleep before you go, will you? I may have drunk too much coffee this afternoon, so I’m having trouble sleeping.”
Sis gets insomnia too?
But tomorrow was a weekday, and she still had to get up early for work.
With that thought, Fang Mo could only obediently sit at the edge of the bed. His gaze happened to fall upon the three Minions on the windowsill.
His heart stirred.
“Sister Yuelan, actually, there’s something I’d like to ask you.”
Hmm?
Ning Yuelan lifted her eyelids.
“What is it?”
The things Li Haowen had told Fang Mo that afternoon flashed through his mind like the scratching of a cat.
Li Haowen had said that, with Ning Yuelan’s calculating nature, escaping from a drunken man would have been effortless.
Even if things had gone as far as the civil affairs bureau, she would have had plenty of ways to get away.
Fang Mo thought about it and admitted that Li Haowen’s words made sense.
Especially his final point: unless Ning Yuelan genuinely wanted to marry him, no one could force her to register the marriage.
It was not that Fang Mo refused to believe it.
It simply seemed too absurd.
Why would an aloof, commanding female CEO want to marry him?
Moreover, before they registered their marriage, they had not been in contact for a long time. Their lives had not intersected in the slightest.
He could not understand how Sister Yuelan could possibly have fallen for him.
And yet, after spending these two days together, Fang Mo felt that she treated him very well—so well that it seemed unusual.
Even Fang Mo himself was completely bewildered.
But now, he had a way to indirectly confirm Li Haowen’s theory.
If those three Minions were the ones he had given Sister Yuelan, then it would prove that she had indeed been secretly in love with him for the past two years.
Otherwise, who would cherish something given away casually to such an extent?
Taking a deep breath, Fang Mo fixed his gaze on the woman.
“Sister Yuelan, the three Minions in your WeChat profile picture—were they the ones I gave you?”
Ning Yuelan froze.
That was so sudden!
Had he discovered it so quickly?
The next moment, her beautiful eyes hurriedly turned toward the three Minions on the windowsill…
